In conclusion, we provided data showing that the role of THBS1 and THBS2 is not only to hinder the vascular network and promote tumor-associated lymphangiogenesis but also to exacerbate the malignant behavior of the two iCCA cell lines that matched the recent classification of iCCA in small (i.e., non-mucin-producing glands) and large (i.e., mucin-producing glands) subtypes [22].
