Compared to the naïve group, the increase in CD68-ir in spine anterior AF at 3 days post-injury was similar to the change in Iba1 in the DRG, indicating that inflammatory cells were present in the spine and DRG simultaneously, and suggesting a likelihood of inflammatory crosstalk between the spine and DRG during the early phase of injury (Figure 9).
