Using a different approach, MAp44 (also known as MAP-1), an inhibitor of the LP by displacing MASPs from PRMs, was shown to have a protective role against thrombogenesis in the FeCl3-induced model and resulted in reduced infarct size in the coronary-artery-ligation-induced myocardial infarction model in mice [143].
