Analyzing the tumor–stroma interface, we observed that the majority of CD31+ blood ECs are located in the surrounding stromal tissue capsule (Figure 1A, left and right panels), while only few of them can be identified in the tumor tissue, colocalizing with Desmin+ and αSMA+ cells (Figure 1A, left panel), By contrast, LYVE–1+ lymphatic vessels (LVs) are located only in the surrounding stroma (Figure 1A, right panel).
