For liver chemistries, the only variable showing a statistically significant difference between those with and without cirrhosis was serum albumin level (median 3.6 vs. 4 g/dL, p = 0.001, respectively), whereas bilirubin, AST, ALT, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and globulin level were not significantly different as shown in Table 1.
