There is no single non-invasive test that can rule out AL, but patients with a CRP < 165 mg/L on POD 2 can proceed with oral intake according to the local ERAS protocol, and patients with a CRP < 181 mg/L or a NUn score < 10 on POD 4 are unlikely to develop an AL and can safely be discharged when clinically possible. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and axial length measurement.
