In the current study, we found that salusin-α and salusin-β levels increased in serum and cardiac tissues of Ang II-infused rats, and knockdown of salusins improved the cardiac hypertrophy in both the heart of Ang II-infused rats and Ang II-treated NRCMs, indicating that knockdown of salusins is conductive to attenuating HCM. The gene discussed is AGT; the disease is cardiac hypertrophy.
