TNNI3 and diabetes mellitus: Compared with the control group, the serum cTnI levels in both MI group and DM + MI group were significantly increased, and the serum cTnI levels in DM + MI group were higher than those in MI group (4.6 ± 0.3 ng/mL vs. 2.7 ± 0.1ng/mL, DM + MI vs. MI, P < 0.001) (Fig. 8A).
