In a univariate regression analysis bio-ADM and IL-6 were both significant predictors (OR 1.025, 95% CI 1.011–1.040, p < 0.001 and OR 1.014, 95% CI 1.005–1.023, p = 0.003) regarding acute kidney injury, same as CRP, hsTnT and DPP3 (each p < 0.05) and opposite to leukocytes, creatinine, procalcitonin and NT-proBNP (each p = n.s). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and acute kidney injury.
