Guo Huimin et al[69] reported that Paris saponin II combined with camptothecin, a chemotherapeutic drug, acted on H446 cells of SCLC, and found that Paris saponin II could increase the sensitivity of camptothecin to SCLC chemotherapy and promote tumor cell apoptosis by upregulating the expression of ERK, AKT, and p38MAPK and downregulating the expression of Bcl-2 protein. The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is small cell lung carcinoma.
