PYGB and glioblastoma: By using a combination approach of biochemistry and protein studies, researchers investigated the interaction and action mechanism of 2,3-benzodiazepin-4-one, which was the blood–brain barrier permeability, towards PYGB in U87MG cell lines of glioblastoma multiforme, as well as the ability of 2,3-benzodiazepin-4-one to interfere with the activity and expression of PYGB, and the ability to inhibit cell growth and the cell cycle.
