TP53 and neoplasm: In a mouse model of orthotopically injected p53-deficient oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells, which cause tumor-associated sensory nerves to transdifferentiate into adrenergic nerves, treatment with carvedilol (a non-selective blocker of the β1, β2, and α1 adrenergic receptors) suppressed tumor growth and proliferation [39].
