Among all types of lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for approximately 80–85%, and 5-year survival rates for NSCLC are estimated to be 6.1% for those diagnosed between 2009 and 2015 [2], and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) rearrangements occur in approximately 5–8% of patients [3]. Here, ALK is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
