At a multivariate level (Table 3) most of these associations (except IL-6 and TSH) with IH persisted; low ferritin status and low hCG independently increased the likelihood of IH 2.6 times and 2.1 times, respectively, while a high CRP status and obesity increased the likelihood by a factor of 2.1 and 1.7, respectively. Here, CRP is linked to isolated hemihyperplasia.
