Epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors (EGFRIs) are now well established as effective agents for the treatment of various cancers (5), which include monoclonal antibodies(mAbs): cetuximab, necitumumab, and panitumumab; tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs): afatinib, dacomitinib, erlotinib, gefitinib, and Osimertinib; and Tyrosine multikinase inhibitors: lapatinib and vandetanib (6–8). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and cancer.
