Hypomethylating agents (HMAs) and venetoclax have vastly improved survival in patients who are older or ineligible for intensive induction chemotherapy.2, , –5 Targeted agents such as fms-related receptor tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) inhibitors,6,7 IDH1/2 inhibitors,8 and gemtuzumab ozogamicin9, , –12 have also enhanced outcomes for AML patients.
