Current studies on PAQR3 have found that this molecule plays a role as a tumor inhibitor in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by blocking the interaction between BECN1 and the activated form of EGFR, enhancing the autophagy induced by EGFR inhibitor erlotinib, and inhibiting the NF-KB/p53/Bax axis3–7. This evidence concerns the gene PAQR3 and neoplasm.
