It has been reported that the down‐regulated Cytochrome P450 (CYP1A2) in HCC can induce upregulation of HIF‐1α and synthesis of HGF, thus activate signaling of MET/PI3K/AKT/NF‐κB, thereby promoting tumor growth, migration, and invasion, suggesting that CYP1A2 may be a tumor inhibitor and a new independent prognostic marker for HCC patients.69 This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
