Xu et al. demonstrated that NLRP3 inflammasome significantly enhanced the proliferation and migration of human prostate cancer cells, prostate cancer cell (PC) line 3 and lymph node carcinoma of the prostate (LNCaP) cells, but decreased the apoptotic ability of PCa cell lines by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) and Transwell assays [50]. This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and prostate carcinoma.
