Given that CSN6 stabilize HMGCS1 to regulate mevalonate pathway (cholesterol biosynthesis and biosynthesis of key isoprenoids) and can positively impact on YAP activation (important for pro‐cancer signaling pathway), it lends credence to the possibility that hindering YAP activation by verteporfin treatment plus attenuating HMGCS1 activity (aav‐shHMGCS1) might lead to a better synergistic effect in treating CSN6‐high HCC. The gene discussed is COPS6; the disease is cancer.
