CDH2 and neoplasm: Interestingly, among the downregulated genes, CDH2, the gene encoding N-cadherin, appears to be the most significantly downregulated gene in CAFs upon YAP1 ablation, as shown in the volcano plot (Fig. 5B), and could potentially function as a key downstream effector of YAP1 signaling in CAFs due to its known role in tumor cell-fibroblast adhesion.
