Furthermore, double knockdown of miR-126 and either cxcl12a or ccr2 reduced cell death and from miR-126 knockdown alone, demonstrating that the Cxcl12/Ccl2/Ccr2 signalling axis is driving the miR-126 knockdown-associated increase in ineffective macrophage recruitment to mycobacterial infection.
