Chronic exposure to indoxyl sulfate was found to promote arterial thrombosis by increasing the levels of complex TF/factor VII, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), and platelet activation, as well as by decreasing aortic levels of SIRT1, thus further supporting the protective role of SIRT1 in thrombosis (Karbowska et al., 2018). Here, SIRT1 is linked to Arterial thrombosis.
