MRC1 and ovarian carcinoma: Notably, in advanced ovarian cancer, the proportion of M2-type macrophages was higher in the solvent control group than in the paclitaxel-treated group, with the possible reason being that TAMs expressing high levels of CD206 in the ascites of ovarian cancer in untreated mice play an important role in promoting tumor angiogenesis,28 suggesting that not only do tumors need to be treated, but the negative regulation of tumor immunity generated during chemotherapy needs attention, which may be one of the mechanisms of paclitaxel chemoresistance.
