Hypermethylated DMRs observed in alcoholic cirrhosis and alcoholic HCC were found in forkhead box K1 (FOXK1), zinc finger CCCH-type containing 3 (ZC3H3), nuclear factor IX (NFIX), histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4), and tetraspanin 9 (TSPAN9) genes. This evidence concerns the gene FOXK1 and alcoholic liver cirrhosis.
