The proteomic measurement showed the four proteins (COL12A1, THBS2, S100A8, and S100A9) were consistently up-regulated in the patients with CRC compared with HCs, while the four proteins didn’t exhibited the consistency of up-regulation in patients with other cancers (including GC, EC, BRCA, LC, BLCA, and ML), suggesting the consistency of up-regulation of the four proteins only in CRC but not in other cancers. Here, S100A8 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
