Among ZFPs, zinc finger protein 148 (ZNF148), a member of the Krüppel-like (C2H2) ZFP family, plays an important role in regulating gene expression by binding to GC-rich sequences in the promoter regions of genes such as PTX3 [15], CTNNB1 [16], Bak [17], ID1/3 [18] and pdcd4 [19], which are involved in the development of glioma, colorectal cancer, HCC and breast cancer. The gene discussed is ZNF148; the disease is breast carcinoma.
