ALB and hepatitis B virus infection: Human serum albumin (HSA) is a biological product derived from plasma collected from hepatitis B vaccine-immunized healthy individuals by low-temperature ethanol protein isolation and heat-inactivated virus at 60°C for 10 h (Basu and Kulkarni, 2014) which can maintain plasma colloid osmolality, inhibit apoptosis and regulate trauma-induced inflammatory response, and has antioxidant activity (Chalidis et al., 2007).
