The downregulated genes detected at day 14 in these populations included inflammatory molecules (e.g., IL36G, S100A7/A8/A9) and structural proteins (GJB2, KRT16/17) (Supplementary Fig. 2C), known to be over-expressed in the upper layers of the psoriasis epidermis5,19. This evidence concerns the gene GJB2 and psoriasis.
