Dyslipidemia refers to a triad of abnormal lipid and lipoprotein metabolism.1 Dyslipidemia among type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is an important modifiable risk factor for atherosclerosis, stroke and cardiovascular diseases (CVD).2 It is mainly due to increased free fatty acids flux secondary to insulin resistance.3 Here, INS is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
