In boys (280 with normal weight, 118 with overweight, and 105 with obesity), from normal weight to obesity, plasma leptin and LAR also increased significantly (p < 0.001) (Figures 1D and 1F), while differences in plasma adiponectin were not significant (p = 0.368).
