ALB and Hypertension: Compared to patients who stayed alive, the group of patients who died within six months of COVID-19 infection had a higher frequency of male gender (p=0.018), age > 60 years (p=0.001), diabetes (p=0.008), hypertension (p=0.005), chronic kidney disease (p≤0.001), hematological neoplasms (p=0.005), abnormal serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) (p=0.038), low albumin (p≤0.001), hemoglobin < 11 g/dl (p=0.017), leucocytosis (p≤0.001) and lymphocyte count <500 (0.004) (Table 2).
