After treatment with cerulein, KC mice showed significant pancreatic lesions, and the number of Alcian Blue positive staining was significantly increased, which can be reversed by silencing Htra1. Furthermore, KC mice with high-expression of Htra1 had most high-grade PanIN in pancreatic tissue, but the number of high-grade PanIN lesions were reduced by CDK1 inhibition. This evidence concerns the gene CALCA and keratoconus.
