SLC7A5 and lung cancer: Since SLC7A5 has been widely reported to activate the AKT/mTOR pathway [22], and the AKT/mTOR pathway has been found to regulate reactive oxygen species and protect cells from DNA damage [27], we speculated that the IGF2BP2-SLC7A5 loop may confer radioresistance on lung cancer through the AKT/mTOR pathway.
