Current clinical study had found very low plasma concentrations of Pentraxin 2 in patients with IPF [70] and had demonstrated in experimental studies that PRM-151 (Recombinant human pentraxin-2) inhibited TGF-β1 and bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis [70–72]. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
