In human bladder cancer, urothelial carcinoma, and breast cancer, respectively, CD24 is increased by hypoxia-inducible factor 1alpha (HIF1α), androgen receptor and DNA methyltransferase, estrogen receptor, and truncated glioma-associated oncogene homolog 1 [32, 34, 37, 38]. The gene discussed is HIF1A; the disease is urinary bladder carcinoma.
