ESR1 and laryngeal neoplasm: The cross-tabulation analysis confirmed a significant enrichment of HPV16-positive OPSCC in males in subcluster B2, with the highest ESR1 transcript and protein levels, whereas subcluster A1, with the lowest ESR1 transcript levels and a high expression of the down-regulated DEGs in the ESR1-related 139-gene set, was enriched for HPV-negative laryngeal tumors (Supplementary Table S2 and Figure 1B).
