To date, clinical data from another MVA-based COVID-19 vaccine candidate have been published by Routhu et al. Their synthetic MVA-based vaccine candidate encoding a prefusion-stabilized S-protein similar to our MVA-ST, in combination with the nucleocapsid antigen, was tested as a prime-boost schedule in a phase 1 clinical trial30–32.
