BCL2L1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia: Combination of dasatinib (D), an inhibitor of several tyrosine-kinases used as an anti-neoplastic agent for the treatment of acute lymphocytic leukemia, and quercetin (Q), a flavonoid that acts as an anti-apoptotic BCL-XL protein inhibitor, has shown efficacy in counteracting mechanisms of apoptosis evasion in senescent cells resulting in their selective elimination and subsequent beneficial effects in aged organs16,48.
