In the current study, when comparing the cytokine levels in the AIP cases with elevated cystatin C to those with normal cystatin C levels, we observed significantly higher levels of CCL2 and CXCL10 in the group with elevated cystatin C. Additionally, the plasma cytokines CXCL10 and CCL2 (monocyte chemotactic peptide) were positively correlated with plasma KIM-1, suggesting an association between CCL2, CXCL10, and kidney disease in AIP. The gene discussed is CST3; the disease is kidney disorder.
