FAP and cancer: These data indicate that both depletion of FAP+ CAFs and FAP+ hematopoietic cells can suppress the growth of cancers, and therefore, anti-FAP NIR-PIT depletes both the FAP+ CAFs and FAP+ hematopoietic cells (Figure 5B), demonstrating that both cell types are important to the efficacy of FAP-targeted NIR-PIT.
