ACTB and soft tissue neoplasm: Two types of genetic alterations of GLI1 have been described: (1) GLI1 fusions affecting the ACTB, MALAT1, and PTCH1 genes in a subgroup of soft tissue tumors with a characteristic nested monomorphic epithelioid morphology; (2) another group of soft tissue tumors that were morphologically similar but lacked canonical GLI1 gene fusions and instead had GLI1 amplifications [75,76,77,78,79,80,81].
