Proteinopathies, such as amyloidopathy and tauopathy, oxidative stress, metabolic impairments and higher levels of proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10 in the brain, are associated with AD [6].
