TERT and meningioma: Meningiomas are classified as grade II in the presence of at least four to nine mitotic figures in ten consecutive high-power field (10 HPF) and/or brain invasion whereas meningioma grade III (anaplastic, rhabdoid, and papillary subtype) have 20 or more mitotic figures in 10 HPF or frank histological anaplasia with a morphology resembling a carcinoma, melanoma, or sarcoma, and/or TERT promoter (pTERT) mutation, and/or CDKN2A/B homozygous deletion (Louis et al., 2021; Champeaux et al., 2016).
