We first observed that IBD patients present increased total m6A methylation levels (Figure 4A) and altered expression of several m6A machinery members (Figure S4A, Supporting Information), pointing to m6A methylation as an important player in disease related regulatory pathways.[17, 45] Specifically, we observed that the expression of YTHDC1 reader is significantly increased in IBD patients. Here, YTHDC1 is linked to inflammatory bowel disease.
