Dar et al. (2018) also revealed via an experiment that the administration of probiotics (Bacillus clausii) to the mice with OVX‐induced osteoporosis for 6 weeks could restore the balance of Treg‐Th17 cells (increasing Treg cells and decreasing Th17 cells), and inhibit the expression of pro‐inflammatory cytokines (IL‐6, IL‐17, and TNF‐ α) and enhance the expression of anti‐inflammatory cytokines (IL‐10), so as to reduce the bone loss caused by estrogen deficiency. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is osteoporosis.
