RIG-I-like receptors (RLRs) are a family of cytosolic RNA sensors for the host defense against viral infections and include three members: retinoic-acid inducible gene I (RIG-I), melanoma differentiation association gene 5 (MDA5), and Laboratory of genetics and physiology 2 (LGP2) [126]. The gene discussed is RIGI; the disease is viral infectious disease.
