When extending this set of predictors by inclusion of heart failure, coronary artery disease, history of myocardial infarction, history of stroke, ankle-brachial index ≤ 0.90, log NT-proBNP, troponin I, creatinine and the left-ventricular ejection fraction from echocardiography (Model 4), COPAVP and MRproANP remained significant (p < 0.05 each). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and stroke disorder.
