BCDIN3D has been implicated in breast cancer, as its depletion significantly decreases transformation and invasion of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells in vitro (Xhemalce et al, 2012) and in vivo (Reinsborough et al, 2021), and its overexpression correlates with poor prognosis in breast cancer, especially in triple-negative subtypes (Liu et al, 2007; Yao et al, 2016).
