Compared to control animals, Pb-Cre+PtenL/L mice developed a severe prostate cancer phenotype 9 weeks after birth (Fig. 7d, e), and IHC staining showed that the levels of S473 phosphorylation of AKT1 were increased in cancer tissues of Pb-Cre+PtenL/L mice (Fig. 7f). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and prostate cancer.
